Building, testing and operating an experimental aircraft

Drilling the Upper Longerons

18 Jul 2012

It’s that time of year again – the pre-Oshkosh build rush. No, the plane won’t be done anytime soon, but OSH always motivates us to get busy. Dad has been putting in a lot of prep work on the fuselage subassemblies, and I was able to get back into the shop for a solid week, so we got the major components of the fuse clecoed together. Enjoy a brief (experimental) timelapse of Dad and I drilling the forward fuselage skin and longerons.
